Fire extinguishers that are tagged, charged and inspection-ready
A fire extinguisher is often the first line of defense, and it only helps if it's the right type, in the right place and fully charged. Through Ken-Mar Fire Extinguisher Co., Standard provides extinguisher sales, installation, annual certifications and hydrostatic testing for commercial and industrial properties.

How often should fire extinguishers be inspected?
NFPA 10 calls for a monthly visual check by the building owner or staff and an annual inspection and maintenance by a certified technician.
What is hydrostatic testing?
It's a high-pressure test that confirms an extinguisher cylinder is still safe to use. It's required periodically, depending on the extinguisher type.
What happens after an extinguisher is used?
It needs to be recharged or replaced right away, even if it was only partly discharged. Call us and we'll take care of it.
Are your extinguishers due for annual certification?
We'll inspect, tag and service every unit in your building.
