How Often Do I Need to Have My Sprinklers Tested?
One of the most difficult parts of fire suppression maintenance and testing requirements is keeping up with the required testing and inspection schedule. New York City requires numerous inspections at varying intervals based on the type of system you have, the size of your building, the location of your building, and plenty of other factors as well. Our team will help you make sense of your testing requirements with our in-depth understanding of city building and fire safety codes, and we’ll take care of whatever services you need as well.
We conduct inspections at the following intervals, when they are necessary for your property:
- Monthly
- Semi-annually (six-month)
- Annual
- Three-year
- Five-year
- Six-year
- 12-year
There is a good chance your building has different features or components that need to be inspected at different intervals. For example, some aspects of a building made need to be tested and approved every month, while other components of the system may not need to be checked for three years or more after receiving their approval. Likewise, changing codes and requirements may mean different parts of your system need to be checked more frequently. All requirements are put in place by the National Fire Protection Association, as well as by local fire marshals and fire departments.
Once we complete your inspection, we will complete and sign off on inspection reports and file them with the appropriate regulatory authorities to ensure you remain fully-compliant and up to date with your requirements.
